Mentor Evaluation Criteria at Rehberin: Quality and Effective Mentorship

At Rehberin, we strive to maintain the highest quality of mentorship services while ensuring student satisfaction. To achieve this, we evaluate our mentors based on specific criteria. These standards not only help maintain a high level of expertise but also enable better mentor-student matches.

Key Criteria We Look for in Mentors

1. Experience: More Than Just Years!

We expect our mentors to have at least 1-2 years of industry experience. However, we don’t measure experience solely by years; we also consider project involvement and entrepreneurial activities. A professional with 10 years of experience may not always understand the challenges of a recent graduate as well as someone with just 2 years in the industry. That’s why we value early-stage professionals who can provide meaningful guidance.

2. Communication Skills & Leadership: Clear and Effective Mentorship

Beyond technical knowledge, the ability to communicate effectively is crucial. While mentors are not teachers, they should possess leadership skills that enable them to understand students' needs and provide genuine guidance.

3. Student Feedback: Continuous Improvement

The performance of mentors is assessed through feedback from students. This feedback is collected through comments on mentor profiles and emails sent to us. Positive feedback strengthens a mentor’s status, while repeated complaints may lead us to reevaluate their position.

4. Mentor Activity: Flexibility and Responsibility

At Rehberin, we do not impose strict activity requirements on mentors. However, continuously postponed or canceled sessions can lead to student dissatisfaction. If an issue arises, students can leave comments on mentor profiles or report their concerns to us for review.

5. Ethical Standards: Respect and Professionalism

Rehberin upholds professional and ethical communication standards. Any behavior that violates these principles is considered a serious offense and may result in the suspension of the mentor’s status.

How Does the Mentor Evaluation Process Work?

  • Application Review: We assess mentor candidates based on their LinkedIn profiles and areas of expertise.
  • Continuous Feedback Mechanism: Student reviews and reports are regularly analyzed to update mentors’ statuses.
  • Urgent Complaint Review: If we receive multiple complaints or serious concerns, an immediate evaluation process is initiated.
